Not From Concentrate

Here it is, all done! Truthfully, I'm not totally sure what it means and if it has to do anything with Los Angeles myth. I think it's going to be one of those paintings that I look at again months later and finally figure out what it mean to me. But if anyone has any idea what it means to them (especially in regards to Los Angeles!), I'll gladly use your story to explain this to anyone that asks!

From the blood spilled by illegal migrant workers picking up oranges in the fields, their children will be born strong and avenge their fathers and mothers. The lady clearly represents hope & justice turning a blind eye & the Virgen de Guadalupe.

Jerry this is so amazingly detailed. Did I ever tell you I think you're an AMAZINGLY talented artist? Well, dammit, you ARE!
As for what its about...its so clear how Los Angeles is represented by oranges and how little by little the toxins and pollutants from our contaminated city are killing her and even though shes dying we still keep picking at her mangled remains.
Duh.

Dang, that's a great one too! Seriously I did this piece because I hated all those pseudo-reality shows that came out of Orange County and that shit needed to be shanked with a rusty shiv.
